I Wish I’d Met You Earlier, Nannie follows a young boy imagining what it would have been like to know his Nannie when she was young, in a world of Mr Squiggle on black-and-white television, telephones attached to walls and a very different childhood.

Karen Clark created it to encourage children to ask grandparents and other significant older people about their lives and experiences, opening up conversations between generations while reminding us to value the time we have together. With Karen’s captivating text and Fiona Levings’ Tasmanian-inspired illustrations, this book is sure to resonate with young children, grandparents, parents, carers and teachers alike.
