About

International speaker Tanya Crossman is presenting live in Canberra for the first time.
Amazing opportunity to learn from one of the world's foremost experts on intercultural family care.

When your children are growing up in a culture that is different to the one you grew up in, there are often concerns you don't see coming.

For example, schools don't just teach information - they teach values.
They train children how to be 'good': a good student, a good citizen.
All of this is cultural.

As your children grow older, there can be grief as you watch them adopt cultural values that are different to yours.
They might seem to distance themselves from things that are important to you.
They might not understand you when you show how much you care.

Maybe no one told you what to expect.
Maybe no one told you there are ANSWERS.

This interactive workshop is all about HOPE.
There are simple, practical things you can do to improve communication and connection with your children, both short and long term.

Children:
A playspace will be provided in the room for you to have your children aged 0-3 with you if needed. An outdoor play area with supervision will be provided for children aged approximately 4 and over. If you plan to bring children with you, please add FREE childrens tickets to your booking so we can provide for them.
