About

Come for a walk with Jeremy Hegge on one of his last walks of the year to see fascinating spring-time fungi, learn about their ecology, understand the puzzle of mushroom identification and just how little we know about the incredible fungal diversity of Australia! We also debunk many of the myths surrounding this mysterious kingdom of life.
At this time of year, we see less diversity and density of mushrooms but the recent rains may bring up opportunistic species as well as several that only occur in the spring season.
I will be showing you one of my secret locations near Warburton that can produce interesting mushrooms at any time of year - but come with expectation that we may need to walk 1km or so to find a good variety.

Tours last for approximately 2 hours.
13 people max per tour.
Walks are for 15 years and older (under 18's must have a guardian).
Pets cannot attend walks.

Walks are not accessible by public transport.
