About

Come for a walk with Jeremy Hegge on one of his last walks of the year to learn how document and collect fungi for sequencing (DNA Barcoding) + how to make formal herbarium collections.
This is an advanced walk for those who already have at least a beginner to intermediate interest in fungi.
You need to have an iNaturalist account to contribute to fungal sequencing and it is highly recommended that you already have one - even if you do not use it much, yet! A group of us 'community/amateur' mycologists in Australia are starting a sequencing project next year and this is your chance to become involved.
(The walk is about collecting and documention - not the technical process of doing the sequencing work.)
