About

Join us to celebrate International Day of People with Disability with a special private community screening of Boss Cat, presented by our DSWAAN network. Be among the first to watch this powerful film before its cinema release, alongside other members of the community.

About the film

After the death of her mother, Sonja, a woman with Trisomy 21 (Down syndrome), must fight against her estranged grandmother’s plans to sell the family home and send her away.

Determined to take control of her future, Sonja must find a way to channel her explosive temper into something positive. Her answer? Krump dancing!

Starring Olivia Hargroder as Sonja, Boss Cat is a compelling story of self-determination, resilience and finding your voice.

Come along, enjoy this special screening and connect with others in our community as we celebrate a story that deserves to be seen.
