About

When life is asking a lot of you, menopause can add another layer.

Between work, children, ageing parents, relationships and the everyday mental load, you may be feeling more stretched than usual. Add disrupted sleep, irritability and brain fog, and even familiar demands can feel harder to manage.

Join My Menopause co-founders Dr Melissa Cave and Menopause Nurse Kelly Clarke, together with guest speaker Kate Parsons ( a Nervous System Restoration Therapist), for a warm, relatable evening exploring hormones, stress and your nervous system.

Melissa and Kelly will open with an approachable conversation about hormonal fluctuations and the challenges women face through perimenopause and beyond. Kate will then explore how the nervous system shapes our response to stress, and what building capacity can mean in everyday life.

We’ll explore:
- Your nervous system: what it does and why this stage of life can place extra demands on it.
- Why the same stage can feel different for different women, and how life’s accumulated demands can affect our capacity to cope.
- The predictive brain: how past experiences and ongoing stress can shape the way we respond to change.
- Building capacity: an introduction to sensory approaches, the ‘sensory staircase’ and the role of breath in supporting your stress response.

For women in perimenopause, menopause and post-menopause.
No prior knowledge needed.
Tea and coffee included, with time for questions within the session.
