Pixel Medley LABS: Natural Light Portrait Photowalk

Our portrait photography events are back, and this time we’re stripping things down to what matters most: beautiful light, great portraits, and good company.

Join us for a relaxed two-hour photowalk through Melbourne’s CBD. We’ll move between hand-picked spots around the city, stopping at each one to shoot, working with natural light and the shadows that come with it.

This isn’t a full-on workshop, but you’ll still learn plenty. I’ll be on hand throughout to chat about camera settings, reading light, working with shadows, and posing your subject. Ask questions, experiment, and learn by doing.

What to expect

• Small group setting with limited tickets, so you get space to shoot and time to talk
• Build your portfolio with fresh portraits from every stop
• Meet other portrait photographers and grow your network
• Relaxed atmosphere with no pressure, just shooting and learning together

Who it’s for

All levels are welcome, from first-timers to experienced shooters. We’re focused on natural light, but you’re welcome to bring portable flash, reflectors, or other gear if you’d like to experiment.

The models

To keep this sustainable, the shoot scales with bookings:

• 5+ photographers unlocks 1 model
• 8+ photographers unlocks 2 models

The more people who book, the bigger the shoot. Model(s) will be announced closer to the date.
