About
Mitzvah Day 2020 (Good Deeds Day), will be different to other years! But Our Kitchen Table will continue to do what we LOVE most - engaging volunteers to make a difference to the lives of people in need through craft related activities.
Join the Our Kitchen Table community (in your own home), to create care packs, designed to lift the spirits of people in our local community. Your care pack will support the elderly (who have been living in isolation in recent months), disadvantaged seniors and aged care support staff. We encourage you to make one for yourself, make one to donate, and share the experience of giving with others!
BOOK NOW to be sent out the Zoom link, a list of ingredients to prepare, and a drop off point near your home.
Sunday 15 November, 10.30am - 12pm. FREE of charge community event.
Together we will create care packs with:
- Hand scrub
- Hot chocolate sticks
- Affirmation greeting cards
** If you can't attend the Zoom session at 10.30am, register to receive a recording of the 'how to' sessions following the event.
AGES
All ages welcome. Children will need adult assistance.
WHAT IS MITZVAH DAY?
Mitzvah Day (a day for doing 'good deeds') is celebrated in 21 countries internationally and was supported last year by over 40,000 volunteers. The concept was born out of the belief that we can all make a positive difference to our world by taking action – together. More info at www.mitzvahday.org.au
