LUMIÈRE: Mount Victoria's Festival of the Moving Image

Six new artists' films have been commissioned by Modern Art Projects Blue Mountains (MAPBM) specially for Lumière, with generous support from Blue Mountains City of the Arts Trust, and screened at Mount Vic Flicks courtesy of Bendigo Bank. The films explore current, relatable themes of light, liminality (the psychological experience and process of transitioning between liminal spaces or thresholds), and our eternal, hopeful quests to find light in the dark.
They offer the chance to enjoy new approaches to cinematic experiences from intriguing perspectives, immerse in quiet, meditative, sensory worlds for respite and reflection, hear personal and historic stories, and be recharged by uplifting celebrations.
