About

Join us for a morning exploring some of Falls Creek’s iconic alpine landscapes, historic huts and beautiful High Country scenery.

Guided by Zorali ambassador Elise Marcianti, this Hike & Paint experience begins at Cope Hut before continuing along the Wallace Heritage Trail.

Location: Falls Creek, VIC
Distance: Approx. 6.5km (Wallace Heritage Loop)
Duration: 3 hours
Grade: Easy–Moderate | Suitable for most fitness levels

We’ll begin by exploring historic Cope Hut, built in 1929, before setting off through open alpine meadows and snow gum woodland. Along the way, we’ll pass the Bogong Rover Chalet and cross a historic mountain aqueduct before reaching Wallace’s Hut – the oldest surviving cattleman’s hut in the Victorian High Country, built in 1889.

Once at Wallace’s Hut, settle in for a relaxed picnic and paint session, taking inspiration from the surrounding alpine landscape. No painting experience is needed – just bring your creativity and enjoy the experience.

Light refreshments are provided.

What to bring?
• Comfortable hiking shoes or boots
• Day pack with plenty of water
• Snacks
• Light layers and a warm jacket for changing alpine conditions
• Sunscreen and hat
