They talk about the lost art of lingering, and that is exactly what I want from this night. River House sits right on the Nerang River at Southport: three candlelit levels, a waterfront deck strung with lights, and a private jetty looking across to the city skyline. The kitchen sends out flavours that wander from Europe to Asia and settle somewhere unmistakably Queensland. For one evening the house is ours, with one team looking after us from the first glass to the last. |
