A play-reading introducing the World Celebrated Knitting Detective Monsieur Purl-Row (along with his loyal offsider Arthur Bastings OBE).
It is a dark and stormy night. The weekend before All-Hallows. October 24th 2026 at Lot 19 in Catelmaine.
The Lot 19 Tram, carrying the World's Kniterati, sets off on a journey to the famous Knitting Festival held on the Mysterious Sleeve-Island.
But the journey will prove perilous!
Betrayal, lust, greed and jealousy! All of this, the true Heart of Darkness, will be channeled through the apparently benign ars of knitting and crochet!
Deadly needles and dangerous hooks!
Will and innocent crafter be stitched up?
Will the wool be pulled over Monsieur Purl_Row's eyes?
Will the Belgian Detective, with his hitherto unknown skill as a superlative lace knitter (he is Belgian afer all) ... be able to untangle the mystery.
Will he know the difference between a German cast on and an Italian tubular?
