The Mighty Mossman Show

MELVILLE’S PIONEER ANIMAL FARM:
Come along for an up close experience with farm animals, Melville’s Pioneer Animal Farm will be on display over our 2 day show.  Animals include baby chicks, ducklings, guinea pigs, turkeys, Geese, baby lambs, baby goats, piglets, calves and many more.  No admission fee.

NOAH’S THOROUGHBRED PIG RACING:
Noah’s Thoroughbred Racing Pigs is entertainment at its best.  Fun filled enjoyment for all ages.  From the bugle race call, through the obstacles, to the last snout in the finishing trough, crowds will be cheering their preferred pig to the end.  The pigs are neck and neck, trotter to trotter, racing for the trough.....finally they reach the finish line, pushing and shoving to get their snout in the trough first.

DAVID WILLIAMS - RESTA:
David Williams from Resta gives a very informative commentary of different types of snakes found throughout Australia and the world.  David has many snakes available for different viewing and his shows run throughout the 2 days of the show.  David’s snake shows runs at different times on both days and there is no admission fee, however gold coin donation can be made.

MEMPHIS MOOVERS
Music on the Moove! Moovin' Music! That's what the Memphis Moovers do! The Memphis Moovers will surprise show goers when they appear roving in, on their cute novelty car OR TRACTOR (HOWIE IS HERE!!) creating a fun atmosphere and performing a wide repertoire of tunes as they go.

WALTER WHIP AND THE FLAMES
Are a performance team that travel from show to show performing western arts and fire-whip shows. Some of our featured acts are the burning ring of fire and cracking 2 whips on fire. We also perform stunts where I cut roses from the girls hands and mouths with a whip that's on fire.

MIKAYLA JADE – TRICK RIDING SHOW
Mikayla Jade is known as Australia’s own Crazy Cowgirl for a very good reason. Most people who ride horses spend their time trying very hard to remain safely in the saddle: Mikayla does anything and everything other than staying in the saddle.  Mikayla brings elegance, flexibility and grace to her shows. Her performances have been described as “A fast-paced, adrenaline rush on horseback.”

DOG JUMPING:
All are welcome to watch or enter our local Dog Jumping competition.  Watch the Dogs both big and small compete for the prize money and their treats.

MOSSMAN HIGH SCHOOL BAND:
The Mossman High School Concert Band will take centre stage at the Mossman Show on Monday evening to play hits from Broadway to the latest Top 40 songs.  The Mossman State High School students will put on a great final performance before the fireworks display.

MARANOS FUEL FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR:
Watch the sky come alive on Monday night – the last evening of the Mossman show.  Fireworks display will light the sky and signal the end of the show for another year.  Find a good spot to watch the display at 8pm on Monday.  The fireworks display is sponsored by Maranos Fuel, Qube Pty Ltd & Mackay Sugar.

THINGS TO SEE AND DO:
Check out the local art, craft, photography, needlework, horticulture, agriculture and culinary talent on display in the Victor Crees Pavilion.  And you must not forget the amazing displays from our local schools and kindy’s.  

Find out more about local organizations and business at the booked out Johnston Pavilion with displays from the  Shannonvale Winery, Enyo, Douglas Photography Club, Jakes Candy & much much more.  All of your local favourite charity’s will have their stalls at our show again this year.  These include: RSL, Lions, Rotary, Red Cross, Cancer Council, the Fire Brigade and SES.

LOCAL CANE DISPLAY:
You also can’t miss the Cane display located outside the Victor Crees Pavilion – Cane supplied by our local farmers.

WOODCHOP DISPLAY:
Our Woodchops will be held on Sunday only.  

MAGIC MONDAY TICKETS:
Magic Monday Ticket will be drawn on Monday between 4pm & 4.30pm.

FOOD:
You can get a delicious dagwood dog at one of the travelling show caravans, or enjoy mouth-watering delights from the food court area.  You can also get yummy hamburgers from the local ALP Burger Bar.
