Introduction to Woodwork

Description

Would you like to have confidence in a workshop to build an ornate jewellery box or nice piece of furniture? During this course participants will develop their basics woodworking skills, both hand and machinery, and produce some basic wood projects. We will be starting with the very basics such as learning how to mark out, use and sharpen a chisel and continuing onto more advanced skills like setting up a router and operating workshop machinery safely. Participants that have completed this short course should feel confident to create more advanced products in the ‘Open Wood Workshop’ or ‘ Open Wood and Metal Workshop’ Swan Connect courses.
