German Grandeur, French Grace
Adelaide Baroque presents a concert of German and French music which explores the nuances of these musical genres.
Many composers of the period drew on regional influences and no one more effectively than Georg Phillip Telemann. In the 250th anniversary of his death in 1767 our program pays tribute to his mastery of mixed styles. Contemporaries of Telemann, J S Bach, Louis Couperin and Jean-Baptiste Lully are also featured in our musical exploration.
