About

The erotic poems from the Hebrew Bible known as the 'Song of Songs' have inspired composers throughout the ages. Ensemble 642 (Hannah Lane, baroque harp and Nicholas Pollock, theorbo) are joined by soprano Roberta Diamond to explore exquisite Italian baroque settings of these texts. Featuring music by Monteverdi, Cima, Kapsperger, and the Australian premiere of exceprts from the recently discovered ‘Carlo G.’ Manuscript.
