Karl Jenkins’ Stabat Mater was premiered in 2008 and has fast become one of the world’s most loved contemporary choral works. Following Mary’s journey to the Cross, Jenkins’ setting incorporates traditional Latin text and other languages of the period including Aramaic and early-Arabic.
