Strathfield Symphony Orchestra Season 3: Tears and Laughter

hero

Strathfield Symphony Orchestra presents a weekend of ‘Tears and Laughter’ with our first ever opera highlights concert. Performing alongside Excelsia College Choir and Sydney Sakura Choir, Strathfield Symphony Orchestra will be playing works from Rossini’s well known Barber of Seville, and Thieving Magpie, Verdi’s La Traviata and Aida, the Hummingbird Chorus from Puccini’s Madame Butterfly, and excerpts from Bizet’s Carmen, just to name a few. Please join us for one concert that you will not want to miss!

Following a commended 2016 year, featuring Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, Symphonie Fantastique, and John William’s Star Wars, Strathfield Symphony invites audiences to join us once again on our musical journey for 2017. This year will showcase wonderful fairy tales, marches and waltzes, Beethoven’s Violin Concerto featuring Alastair Duff-Forbes, an action-packed evening at the Opera, and finally a story of love, heartbreak and despair, through Tchaikovsky’s wonderful ballet, Swan Lake.
