Description
Following our 2017 season which traversed the globe, our 2018 Season of four subscription concerts, embraces passionate musicians who are also great thinkers, “Musical Luminati”: Neurologist/Flautist Eckart Altenmüller, Educator/Cellist Rachel Scott, Pianist Simon Tedeschi with ACO Violinist Aiko Goto and the Musical Creators of the Omega Ensemble together with Artistic Director, Flautist Sally Walker.
02.03.18, 7 pm "Musical and the Mind" Prof. Eckart Altenmüller - Neurological Presenter and Flute, Sally Walker - Flute, Peter Guy Organ. Baroque works fit for a King.
15.06.18, 7 pm "Bach in the Dark" Sally Walker - Flute, Rachel Scott - Cello/Presenter. Works by J.S. Bach, his relatives and admirers.
03.08.18, 7 pm "Smoke, Mirrors and Glass - Musical Subterfuge" Sally Walker - Flute, Aiko Goto - Violin, Simon Tedeschi - Piano. Works with embedded codes by Shostakovich, Ibert, Glass and Chubb.
15.09.18 3 pm Regional Tour - Quirindi. Sally Walker - Flute, Gabriella Pusner - Piano, Gunnedah composer Keely Murphy. Works by Fauré, J.S Bach, Kats-Chernin, Schumann, Briccialdi, Rimsky-Korsakov, Gaubert and Böhm
16.09.18 Regional Tour - Gunnedah. Sally Walker - Flute, Gabriella Pusner - Piano, Gunnedah composer Keely Murphy. 11am-1pm Workshop, 3pm Concert - Tickets available through Gunnedah Conservatorium.
30.11.18, 7 pm "Salon Société" Omega Ensemble: Sally Walker - Flute, David Rowden - Clarinet, Clemens Leske - Piano. Parisian salon chamber music by Poulenc and more.
