PMQG hosts Lorena Uriarte
Description:
Perth Modern Quilt Guild is proud to be hosting Lorena Uriarte in Perth for two workshops Friday 23rd March (Social Tote) and Saturday 24th March (Opal Essence). Both are standalone workshops and they are limited to 20 participants to maximise fun and learning.
Social Tote: Make this lovely and very useful tote. Friday 23rd March - The workshop starts at 8.45am* and finishes at 3pm. Participants will need a pattern for this class and you can buy that here, if you don't already have one. There is also the option to add the interfacing needed for the tote, if desired.
Opal Essence: Learn the techniques to complete this stunning quilt in a variety of sizes. It's a very flexible design - quilt blocks can be appliqued or machine pieced and then machine or hand pieced together. Specific techniques taught in this class: Needle turn appliqué, machine pieced curves and y-seams, value and colour theory. A kit including full colour pattern and acrylic templates is included within the $160 (kit plus workshop) ticket price. Saturday 24th - The workshop starts at 10am* and finishes at 5pm.
* You should arrive 15 minutes prior to the class start time (to get set up and be ready to go).
Venue:
The City of South Perth's new John McGrath Hall, located in Ernest Johnson Reserve and accessed from Hensman St, Como, 6152. (This is a brand new venue and is not showing on google maps yet!
