Yalumba & Bistro Blackwood Cooking School


Yalumba & Bistro Blackwood present a unique cooking demonstration and lunch on Saturday 1 September 2018, prepared by acclaimed chef Jock Zonfrillo of Bistro Blackwood and hosted for the first time in the Yalumba Cooperage.

During Jock’s informative, and no doubt entertaining demonstration, he will reveal some of his tried and tested recipes, and techniques that has positioned him as one of Australia’s most respected Chefs and thought leaders in food.

Jock will share his thoughts around his use of Indigenous ingredients and the role they have played in shaping his unique riff on classic dishes that feature at Bistro Blackwood.

To celebrate Jock’s love of cooking over fire and flame, we are hosting the demonstration and lunch in the only on-site winery cooperage in the Southern Hemisphere, the Yalumba Cooperage, where Jock will utilise the centuries-old art of barrel making to create a truly rare experience.

Each dish will be thoughtfully paired with Yalumba’s finest wines, expressing regionality, provenance and a sense of place.

A special collaboration not to be missed with a very limited number of tickets available.
