About
(Please note we have had to change the destination from Orange as originally planned)
To celebrate the re-launch of diesel-electric locomotive 42103 in the popular ‘Candy Scheme’ of the 1980s, we are delighted to offer this special charter to Kiama.
Departing Sydney on Saturday, 18 August 2018, the Kiama Candy Special will take you to the popular seaside town via the scenic South Coast line.
Ride in our classic open-window carriages. For groups, try our Private Compartment option to ensure you reserve your own space.
You’ll have plenty of time for a relaxing lunch at a variety of cafés and pubs in Kiama. Take a stroll up to the famous blowhole before heading back to the station.
Locomotive owner, Craig Prior is keen to see proceeds from this even going towards the restoration of more heritage equipment for all to enjoy.
