About
Sculptures by the Sea and Shalom are proud to be partnering for a unique exhibit called Succah By The Sea - an exciting collaboration with some of Sydney’s top emerging architects to re-imagine Jewish ritual in a way that has never been seen before in Australia.
Based on Reboot’s 2010 NYC exhibit ‘Succah City’, Succah by the Sea will explore themes like environmentalism, homelessness, permanence and ritual. Held as a mini exhibit in Marks Park as part of 2019’s Sculptures by the Sea from October 24 – November 10.
You are invited to join the Artistic Director, and selected Architects in an evening of learning and designing. Exploring new ideas, reimagining old customs and laws, and collaborating on one of the biggest art projects the Australian Jewish Community has seen.
Facilitators: Rabbi Alon Meltzer and Architect William Feuerman
