We ask every rider to help us raise funds for Lifeline. Get friends and family to help by creating a donation page you can share with family & friends. Every dollar counts. Even as little as $50 can save lifes. Start by clicking on the Donation button on the GFB19 home page or follow the link goforbroke2019.gofundraise.com.au

To ensure you have a great day each bunch has a support car and St Johns will be on course again. This year their will be a lunch stop after the KOM/QOM at Mangrove Mountain. But make sure you conserve your energy while you’re in the peleton. After 165km in your legs you’ll have a chance to see what you’re made of when you Go For Broke for the last 15km.

Go for Broke (GFB) is a tough ride. You must train at least 100km to 200km a week over hilly terrain for a few months before the event. Last year many riders suffered fatigue, cramps and had to swap groups. Unlike the Sydney to Gong or Bobbo Classic all riders must stay in groups. When you register you select a peloton with an average speed that you think you can maintain over a hilly 180km challenging course. If you don't think you can train to maintain at least an average 19km an hour for the ride we recommend you don't register.

During the ride each peloton will have 2 to 3 ride Captains with a support car and driver. They will help direct and instruct each group. If you're struggling to maintain the pace of your peloton the Ride Captains can ask you to change pelotons to ensure your safety and those around you. We understand that your fitness & speed may change between now and the event. As such all riders can request changes to their group allocation till a week before the event. Please note final group allocations and start times will be at the discretion of the event organisers.

Go for Broke has five pelotons in 2019
