The next Forum will focus on Research and Clinical Trials in General Practice. 

*SPEAKER UPDATE* 

  • Prof Chris Reid from Curtin University will present the ASPREE study which has just been announced as the winner of the 2019 Clinical Trial of the Year award by ACTA. The ASPREE Trial looked at the efficacy of people 70 and above taking aspirin daily in preventing age-related illness including heart attack and dementia.
  • The Health systems and Health Economics group will be presenting on their research activity with primary care and general practice. Through their research and development activity the group aim to generate an evidence base that supports the strengthening of primary care and general practice as the cornerstone of Australian health system.   Presenters from this team include:
    Professor Suzanne Robinson who will provide an overview of the team and the research and capacity building activity
    Mitchell Sarkies presenting on the Belmont initiative- a quality improvement project for primary care management of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
    Richard Varhol presenting on his work supporting GP with data analytics for use to inform business intelligence and quality patient care
  • Aleksandra (Ola) Gozt will present on CREST , the Concussion REcovery STudy

 

Light refreshments will be available.
Time 4.30pm for a 5pm start.

Visitors to Curtin University may park for free after 4:30 pm in Blue, Yellow or Green Zones.
