About

RAISE MONEY TO FIGHT HUNGER
Join us for a 4km walk along the Sturt River, followed by a fun, family-friendly community event
Why a Hunger Walk?
Many people walk into MarionLIFE Community Services hungry.
Some haven’t eaten for a day, others for longer.
Some people have families to feed, others just need a little food for themselves.

The MarionLIFE Hunger Walk is to raise awareness about those experiencing hunger and raise money to support the work of MarionLIFE Community Services providing food, care and support to individuals and families in need.

Register today and get involved!

EVENT DETAILS

Our walk will begin at MarionLIFE Community Services, 887 Marion Road, Mitchell Park. Please arrive from 8.15am, ready to start at 9am.

Parking will be available on site, at the rear (Enter off Alawoona Ave).

We will officially start the walk as a group and make our way along the beautiful Sturt River Linear Park. We have a water stop and fruit stop along the way, so our volunteers will take good care of you.

Go green for hunger - participants are encouraged to wear something green on the day.

The walk will conclude with a hot breakfast and a fun, family-friendly community event, including music, kids’ activities and stalls from local organisations. Bring a friend or group to share in the day with you!

A special family price is available for families with three or more children.

If you feel that you may not be able to walk the entire 4km, we will be providing a bus at the halfway point to take those who need it back to MarionLIFE. Please click 'Yes' to this option when you register to give us an indication of numbers, but you don't have to use the bus if you don't need to!

This event will be catered for by Lions Club of Edwardstown, Foodbank SA and Once & Again Cafe.

Read on for how you can make an even bigger difference by bringing in pantry supplies or fundraising for a $30 Emergency pack or $160 for a whole-community meal.
