MGGS Stella Society Literary Evening 2020

Melbourne Girls Grammar, in partnership with The Stella Prize, invites you to the 3rd edition of our MGGS Stella Society Literary Evening. As part of our English Week celebrations, and with restrictions still in place in Melbourne, the event will be held virtually for the first time.

Pre-watch: Text Reviews Video (30 Minutes)
The evening will begin with a pre-recorded video as our Grammarians review 2020 Stella Prize Long Listed texts; with Jaclyn Booton, Executive Director of The Stella Prize, also speaking.  Attendees will be emailed the link that evening and will be able to view the 30 minute video at their leisure prior to 7.00pm.

7pm - 8pm: Live Panel and Q&A with Author Charlotte Wood
At 7pm we will be hosting the exciting live portion of the event via a Zoom webinar.  We will be joined by special guest Charlotte Wood, Short Listed for the 2020 Stella Prize and 2016 Stella Prize Winner, with our Grammarians interviewing her on her book ‘The Weekend’ and her experiences as a female author in the Australian literary landscape. This will be followed by an audience Q&A.  

Tickets: $5
All proceeds from the ticket sales, along with any additional donations will go entirely to supporting The Stella Prize​.
Booked guests will receive an email on the event day with a link to the pre-recorded video and a link to join the Zoom webinar at 7.00pm.
