Who am I now? Who can I be? - The OT's role in identity reconstruction and life role development after ABI
Belinda Renison and Nadine Holgate have a combined 44 years of experience in community-based acquired brain injury rehabilitation. They have devoted their careers to supporting people with brain injury explore how they can regain their identity and positive life roles post-ABI while living with the ongoing impact of their brain injury. They are experienced in working with people for many years post-injury as they transition through multiple life stages with a brain injury. Belinda and Nadine are passionate that people can thrive, not just survive post-ABI.
Aims of workshop
Participants will;
- Explore why a person’s life role participation and identity changes after brain injury.
- Outline evidence-based strategies to support identity reconstruction and life role development.
- Case studies and practical tips
