OT Practice - Living with Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (SOLD OUT)
The webinar will explore the prevalence, significance and functional impact of Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) broadly and from an OT perspective. We will look at therapeutic strategies and underpinning evidence for these. Assessment approaches and tools will also be reviewed.

About the Presenter: Muriel was nominated the Australian Allied Health Awards Occupational Therapist of the Year 2022, and is a strong advocate for the development of the role of OT within the NDIS space. She is a current member of the OTA MH National Reference group; and the ICF Australia Interest Group, a multidisciplinary and academic group exploring the use of the ICF in the NDIS context. Muriel graduated OT school in Dublin 2001 and also holds a Master of Public Health. She has worked in mental health and disability in Australia since 2005. She currently works in private practice; and provides training and supervision to mental health OT's, and she is co-founder of allied health advocacy group 'Allied'. Muriel’s previous roles span the clinical, not-for-profit, peak body and private practice sectors.
