Be entertained by talented young Adelaide ballet dancers in the South Australian Childrens Ballet Company as they perform the classic fairy tale The Little Mermaid.
This performance tells the story of a rebellious mermaid Ariel and her fascination with life on the land. On one of her visits to the surface, she falls for a human Prince. Determined to be with her new love, Ariel makes a dangerous deal with the sea witch Ursula to become human. But when plans go awry, will the Prince be able to save the day?
The audience can look forward to a highly polished ballet with a wide selection of music and an array of colourful costumes. This is a narrated ballet specifically staged for younger audiences and is based on the original Little Mermaid story line by Hans Christian Andersen. The stunning and clever choreography, married with fabulous costumes and music bring this underwater story to life.
Choreographed by the internationally renown Paul Boyd from the Queensland Ballet Academy.
