A night of casual life drawing. We will begin the first half of the evening with a series of quick drawing exercises & after a short break, resume the second half with longer poses and time to lose yourself to the art and tunes. This session is about letting go of restraints and just relaxing into creativity.

In this immersive and hands-on workshop you'll be learning all the basic techniques to make your own beautiful tapestry wall hanging. We'll first make our own looms using old photo frames, then dive into the vibrant textiles and hand dyed fibres provided for you to weave some magic.

'Those Folk' - an intimate warehouse concert

Truly authentic, naturally charismatic, and delightfully entertaining, Lawrence Menard (USA) and Clare Quinn (AUS) are the transpacific troubadours known as ‘Those Folk’.
With Lawrence’s Cajun beginnings and Californian upbringing melding with Clare’s grounding in Australian folk music, their musical inspiration is diverse and ever expanding. Their worlds collided on the streets of Edinburgh, Scotland in 2012 and the pair have been an inseparable duo ever since.
Their intimate stage show is constantly evolving with the introduction of new instruments. Vocal harmonies are featured alongside guitar, mandolin, banjo, accordion, harmonica, and percussion. Clare has an effervescence that is contagious and her vocal range is extraordinary. Lawrence is a talented multi-instrumentalist, with an intuitive musical ear. Lawrence and Clare have an on-stage chemistry that is radiant and audiences can appreciate the connection between them and the way that it influences their musical harmony.

Switchblade stares are a collection of Garage surf rockabilly and vengeful blues that no one asked for, think fast cars, alleyway knife fights, cheap horror movies but with songs of love, romance and devotion. Front man Switch Gere plays a mean wild guitar that twangs your metal fillings right from your mouth and is sometimes accompanied by his cousin Ledger Lennox wailing on alto saxophone that’s if he ever shows up as he’s busy botching the books for greaser gangs and crooks, so come along wear your favourite leather jacket and blue suede shoes enjoy some rock n roll and have a rockin good time baby!

ARCHIVE WAREHOUSE MUSIC SESSIONS
are about creating an interactive experience between the musician and the audience. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with current volunteers and music industry people, learn more about the theatre's programs and events, and find out how they can get involved.

Beginner Tapestry Weaving with Gem from "Woven Folk"

During this workshop you will learn the basics of tapestry weaving on a frame loom. We will cover warping the loom and experimenting with several easy to follow weaving techniques, how to finish a weave, discussion about different design methods and how to find your unique style. The aim of the workshop is to create a woven wall hanging from start to finish!
Participants will be given a take home kit to continue their weaving journey. A range of natural fibres will also be supplied including wool, cotton and silk.
BYO lunch, afternoon tea is supplied- please send through any dietary requirements when making your booking.

Intro to Landscape Painting with Acrylics by Jason Lowe

The first of a series of progressive painting classes by Bellingen artist and musician Jason Lowe.
For this class, we will be exploring the fundamentals of landscape painting and painting in general, exploring composition, tone, colour mixing, brushwork, and general artistic skill building.
A painting demonstration will be given, followed by one on one in depth assistance. We will all be painting the same landscape image.
This class will be followed by subsequent workshops to build on the skills learnt.
For this workshop you will be required to purchase your own painting supplies. Please read on for a detailed list...

Argentinian guitarist and singer Emiliano Beltzer will be joining us for the October life drawing session. Emiliano will play a repertoire of songs both in English and Spanish, mixing his own originals with versions of artist as diverse as Alain Johannes, Ainslie Wills, Fernando Cabrera and Silvio Rodriguez.

Join Adelaide Hills artist Rebecca Prince for a fun lino carving workshop.
Rebecca works with lots of different mediums to create works that resonate with and celebrate our natural world and our place within it. The session will cover rubber lino carving techniques, some drawing instruction and how to print with your carved lino.
You will come away from the workshop with a set of native plant themed decorative stamps which you can continue to use to make your own cards, giftwrap and gift tags as well as your prints made during the workshop.

Join us at The Shed to learn from qualified herbalist Karen, who has worked with herbs and medicinal plants for 40 years. In this workshop we will cover two different topics;
Part 1
An introduction to the magic of herbal teas...
Learn the why, what & how to create the perfect herbal tea for your individual needs.
Part 2
Learn how to make both an oxymel and an electuary to take home.
Oxymels are mixtures of honey, vinegar and herbs used medicinally (or added to your favourite beverage)
An electuary is a mix of herbs and honey which can be used to infuse a bit of medicinal goodness into your food/hot drinks or simply taken neat on a spoon for an array of benefits.
Karen will talk us through the benefits of several herbs and give loads of tips and guidance, so make sure to bring a paper and pen for note taking!
