Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30pm to 5pm, come along to free, after-school workshops and have fun weaving the BAMM trampolines. Kids of all ages are welcome to join us and no weaving experience is required.

Join charismatic percussion virtuosi Claire Edwardes OAM for a mesmerising solo marimba performance in the gallery. Described in The Age as ‘an invigorating musical life force’, Claire leads us on a unique sonic adventure, masterfully and lyrically showcasing the caramel tones and woody percussiveness of the marimba.
The giant 5 octave marimba is an instrument rarely enjoyed in a solo recital setting. The 'sorceress of percussion' Claire Edwardes showcases the marimba in a combination of transcriptions and new commissions, written exclusively for her.

Now in its 7th year the BAMM Portrait Prize is a $7,500 prize for excellence in portrait painting. Entries are invited from artists across Australia at all stages in their career. The finalist exhibition will be selected from the entrants.

Team Trampoline is an interactive art project that brings young people together to create something playful and meaningful.
Over the course of 12 weeks, participants will collaborate with South Australian artist, Meg Wilson, to design and weave custom trampoline mats.
The end results will be part of an exhibition at BAMM during August and September.

Working with Recycled Materials to create 2D and 3D sculptures
Ready to bring your ideas to life? Over the course of 8 weeks, teens will have the chance to work with recycled and found materials to create their own unique projects. Whether it’s a sculpture, installation, or something entirely new.
The workshops kick off with a tour of the current BAMM exhibition, giving you fresh inspiration and insight into how artists use different materials and techniques. Then, you’ll dive into hands-on work, learning new skills and exploring your creativity as you bring your vision to life. You’ll have the freedom to decide what to create, all while discovering how to work with various materials, tools, and artistic processes.

Creative Forest Adventure at BAMM
Ready to get your hands messy and your imagination soaring? Over the course of 8 weeks, kids will have the chance to create an immersive forest, all made from recycled and found materials. It’s a fun, hands-on workshop where everyone’s creativity can grow!
The workshop series kicks off with a tour of the current BAMM exhibition, offering a chance to explore and get inspired by the art around us. Then, we’ll dive into creating our own forest, learning new skills and working together to transform everyday items into something magical. It’s all about having fun, collaborating, and seeing what we can build as a team!

Dennis Golding will be in Moree for two FREE cape-making workshops on Friday, 6 December, in conjunction with his exhibition: Power - The Future is Here.
The capes are made for participants to explore themes of their identity, culture and connection to family and place.
The aim of this workshop is for participants to create their own superpower symbol that incorporates all themes cultural identity, and connection to Country and Community.
The Superheros workshop has been made possible through the generous support of Health Infrastructure NSW.

POWER - The Future is Here

Dennis Golding's POWER - The Future is Here
POWER - The Future is Here is the result of a collaboration between artist Dennis Golding and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students from Alexandria Park Community School. The superhero capes were created during a workshop in 2020, led by Golding who was an artist in residence at the school through Solid Ground. Students from Kindergarten to Year 12 designed their capes with iconography informed by their lived experiences and cultural identity.
A Solid Ground project with Dennis Golding and Alexandria Park Community School, curated by Kyra Kum-Sing, presented by Carriageworks and Blacktown Arts, and touring with Museums & Galleries of NSW. This project has been assisted by the Australian Government’s Visions of Australia program.

A night of artistic hilarity with "Life Drawing with a Comedian"! This show is the perfect fusion of traditional life drawing and the comedic brilliance of live performance.
Hosted by one comedian, who'll guide you through drawing exercises with a side of humour and featuring another comedian as the model striking various poses, this event promises laughter and creativity in equal measure.
All skill levels are welcome – whether you're a Picasso in the making or just love doodling, this is for you.
This show is a blend of traditional life drawing and live comedy that promises an unforgettable experience for everyone. No artistic skills required – bad drawers are more than welcome!
Complimentary glass of champagne on entry.
Basic drawing material's will be provided, please bring additional equipment if you desire.

Light'n Up Moree is a free community street festival which will make the Moree CBD come alive as crowds gather to dance and dine in a street party atmosphere. The festival will bring together the best in local music, performers and visual artists as well as family friendly activities, street food, artisan market stalls and a light show on Moree's town hall. We aim to promote regional businesses and showcase home grown creative talent while lighting up our town for the first night of Spring.
Supported by the NSW Government's Community Events Program, this event is managed by BAMM - Bank Art Museum Moree, with the support of Moree Plains Shire Council, Moree Tourism, and Moree Chamber of Commerce.

To mark the fifth anniversary of the BAMM Art Fair, in 2023 the exhibition will feature new competition categories with significant prizes on offer for artists. With three new categories for artists to enter; Landscape, Figurative and Abstract. All artworks will also be considered by our panel of judges for the open Grand Prize.
Loved by audiences and artists alike, BAMM Art Fair’s Micro Exhibitions remain an important part of the show in 2023. Artists will be called to submit applications for one of six solo exhibitions in March 2023.

Art on Track sees BAMM's Education Coordinator visit schools throughout the Shire, offering students the chance to experiment with a range of mediums. Art on Track is fun for all ages and can be tailored to your curriculum as needed.
BAMM will visit each school once a term for a two hour creative workshop from 9:00am - 11:00am.
Art on Track runs every Thursday for the 1 term cost of $150 including all travel, time and materials
BAMM is happy to work with you to reduce costs by offering neighbouring schools shared workshops or program days.
Bookings close on Thursday 27th April. We encourage you to book soon, as we are only able to offer this program to eight schools per terms.

Air Dry Clay Ceramic Workshop

Join contemporary Iranian Australian artist, Mojgan Habibi, for a ceramic workshop and create up to one personalized trinket plate and two small objects using non-fire clay.
Mojgan will guide you through a range of clay-building fundamentals. You will learn how to create free-form and organic shapes using pinching and rolling techniques.
This 2-hour workshop is suitable for beginners as the artist will demonstrate technical skills and assist participants during the session.

BAMM invites schools in the Moree Plains Shire to join our Term 1 2023 Art on Track Program.
Art on Track sees BAMM's Education Coordinator visit schools throughout the Shire, offering students the chance to experiment with a range of mediums. Art on Track is fun for all ages and can be tailored to your curriculum as needed.
BAMM will visit each school once a term for a two hour creative workshop from 9:00am - 11:00am.
Art on Track runs every Thursday for the 1 term cost of $150 including all travel, time and materials
BAMM is happy to work with you to reduce costs by offering neighbouring schools shared workshops or program days.
Bookings close on Monday 7th February. We encourage you to book soon, as we are only able to offer this program to eight schools per terms.

Cooked by a creative chef with 20 years of experience in fine dining restaurants, specialising in unique interactive experiences that bring food & community together in a casual fun educating setting.
You will be seated at a table for two with the one you love surrounded by artworks in the gallery space. A couples therapist will provide some optional couple exercises to enhance celebration of love and affection.
Upon entry you will be provided with a complimentary glass of champagne.
Couples will be provided with conversation cards to discuss while they enjoy their meals.

Learn the art of weaving with Gomeroi artist Mona Fernando using beautiful hand-dyed raffia!
Suitable for beginners or for those who have done some weaving, but would like to refine their skills.
Saturday 11 November 10am-2pm
Ticket price: $90

Mona’s work will be familiar to many locals, she is an indigenous artist of the Gomeroi clan. She has always had a love of her culture and all arts and crafts but her work mainly consists of a creative weaving practice including woven wall art and baskets and coolamon (vessels which have always been used for gathering and carrying seeds and berries). Mona uses locally sourced materials including rope and grasses.
Mona’s takes many hours to produce each item, sourcing and weaving and mixing colours and textures to create each highly individual piece. Her work is an evolving practice as she connects spiritually with elders, materials and community.

The Painted River Project

BAMM proudly presents The Painted River Project, a collaboration between BAMM, Western Sydney University and the Local Land Services.
The Project focuses on interpreting the landscape through art and creating conversation about the importance of water to our local area.
Two professional artists will lead a free en plein air painting session for Moree locals at Mary Brand Park. With other city-based artists and water scientists visiting Moree to take part!

Collagraph Print Workshop with Macheld Hali

A FREE weekend to learn the unique process of collagraph printing. Produce up to four designs and have them printed ready for display in your own home or entry into the BAMM Art Fair.
Please note this is a two-day class. Sat and Sun 9am-4pm.

Offering cash prizes, the Moree Portrait Prize provides artists of all ages an opportunity to display their work and receive feedback from our expert judge.
In keeping with our Covid Safe Plan, this year the Moree Portrait Prize Presentations will be held over two events. Under 18s artists and their supporter are encouraged to attend our second opening on Saturday 21 November at 10:30am. Tickets are strictly limited and attendance will be on a first in first served basis.
