The City of Charles Sturt Community Centres are hubs of activity providing workshops, events, school holiday programs, community gardens and other initiatives that meet the needs of the local community.

    Join local artist Meredith Russell for a fun short course introducing you to some fundamentals of painting. Over 6 weeks you will explore various techniques such as transparency, opacity, blending, wet-in-wet, dry-brushing, the use of brushes, subjects and surfaces. You will focus on colour mixing, colour theory, composition, structure, tonal range and different styles of painting using a variety of subject matter and historical references. $120 for course -all materials will be provided.

    Join local artist Meredith Russell for a fun short course introducing you to some fundamental drawing skills. Over 6 weeks you will explore a range of media including pencils, charcoals, inks, mixed media, and paints. You will learn various drawing techniques, starting from the basics, and explore a diverse range of subject matter. All materials will be provided. $60 for 6 week course

    Join Deb from our Community Cafe at Henley & Grange Community Centre for a demonstration on creative vegetarian cooking. Discover how to create a delicious vegetarian lasagne, a quick and easy dip and a healthy salad. Enjoy a two course lunch of vegetarian lasagne and salad followed by lemon and yoghurt cake. Because meat and three veg was sooo 2019!!!

    Join local artist Mignon Clift for a short series of fun workshops to learn the basic principals of monotype printing. You will make unique and diverse printed images using different techniques including drawing and painting designs onto an inked surface, adding layers of colour, masking and collaging. Mignon will share ideas and methods that she uses to create her amazing handcoloured and painted prints. Tuesday 17th Nov & 1st Dec - 6pm-9pm $75 for 2 workshops with all materials included.
