The competition will be open to students from 8 to 18 years old who live in or attend schools in the Cumberland City Council LGA or are members of the Council library service. The competition provides opportunities for young writers and illustrators to showcase their talents.
Cumberland City Council Libraries will be working with bestselling children’s author Ashleigh Barton to run workshops for students who are interested in learning to write.

Learn the fizzing and popping science behind Liquid Nitrogen in this action-packed Science Week activity. Scientists will demonstrate frozen bubbles, shrinking balloons, and will make ice cream with the liquid nitrogen. This activity is for children aged 5+.
