The DMP can also be used as an advocacy tool to secure investment in the priorities for the region. During the workshops the aspirations for tourism in the Southern Flinders Ranges community will be explored - where and how tourism can help create a positive impact on the local people, economy and environment - and brainstorm opportunities where tourism can support these goals. No prior reading or specific knowledge is required to attend these sessions, with all perspectives and ideas welcome.

This will be held from 4-6pm. This will then be followed by the Copper Coast Council's strategic plan meeting held from 6:20-7:20pm, after a break for light refreshments. This will be used to validate the findings of the recent Copper Coast Community Survey. These findings will shape the priorities for business in the Strategic Management Plan.

Community groups will be provided with a Cooee Collective facilitator to support and work together with the group on their chosen relevant topic: *Governance (ensuring everything is in place and working out what needs to be done) *Building a positive committee team and organisation culture *Strategic Planning *Finance management *Streamlining meetings *Changing the constitution *Reducing risks (financial, club, infrastructure, cyber etc). Coaching session breakdown (approx.): *Briefing and discovery with key members of the group – 1hr *Preparation – 1hr *Facilitation/coaching of the group – 3hrs *Follow up/ reporting back – 1hr This professional support is to enable community groups to feel confident to move forward and in the right direction.
