Future Planning for Seniors Workshop
Join us for this information packed workshop!
Everyone has the right to make their own decisions. However there might be a time when a person is unable to make decisions due to injury or illness and someone else needs to make decisions.
This free workshop guides you through having conversations with those close to you about these times, choosing someone you trust to make decisions in the future and the legal documents you can choose to put in place, like an Enduring Power of Attorney.
During the workshop you’ll have the opportunity to start an Advance Care Directive writing down your choices and preferences. Those attending will receive a free booklet Your Voice Trust Your Choice and handouts including the Take Control Booklet and Advance Care Directive.

Chair yoga is gentle and supports the body to move into postures while sitting in a chair. There are various yoga techniques that can be integrated with chair yoga that supports older adults to develop and maintain muscle strength.
Researchers have found that chair-based exercise improves upper and lower body.
Want to feel good, have a laugh and have a good stretch? Come and try chair yoga with International Yoga Teacher Rhonda James.

Paynesville Author Event - Amy Espeseth - 'Sufficient Grace'

Join author Amy Espeseth for a discussion of her novel Sufficient Grace.
While set within a religious community, this is not a traditional faith-based story. Instead, the novel explores complex themes including coercive control, secrecy, and the lasting impact of childhood trauma, alongside moments of beauty found in ritual, nature, and friendship.
Amy will speak thoughtfully about these themes and the inspiration behind her work, followed by an audience Q&A.
Following Amy’s talk, we’ll keep the atmosphere lively and welcoming with music, wine, and cheese, catered and sponsored by the Friends of the Paynesville Library.

Paynesville - Little Bang Discovery Club
Week One - Week Four
Join us for this four-week science program!
Little Bang Discovery Club (LBDC) is a four-week course designed for pre-schoolers (aged 3–5) and their accompanying adult co-learners.
The aim of the LBDC is to develop ideas and skills that inspire further scientific exploration, discovery and learning. Key features of the LBDC are the hands-on activities, question and answer time and a Discovery Box and Book loaned to each child for the duration of the LBDC. Activities experienced during each session can be safely replicated and further explored at home.
A Discovery Club Passport is provided to each child and stamped after each session and a graduation ceremony follows a Science Fair in the final session.
Participants are encouraged to attend all four sessions as each week flows into the next.
