The XXVIII Eesti Päevad/the Australian Estonian Festival will take place in Melbourne on 15-18 April 2022.
Four days full of events for young and old. We'll be singing, dancing, baking and having a great time together. Come along with family and friends!

FOLK DAY: Folk performance & Festival closing

Monday 18 April 2022
The folk day will be led by Paul Kadak (Channel 7) and includes performances by all our song and dance groups from Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane followed by a concert by Kooskõlas choir. Covid Requirements: All participants must be double vaccinated

A dinner night at Leopard Lodge in Melbourne Zoo. PARTY DAY: Axe throwing tournament

Come and engage your inner Viking spirit at Maniax, a dedicated axe throwing venue, in the inner Melbourne suburb of Abbotsford. The two hour session includes an introduction to safety and the venue, lessons from a private coach, target practices and then more throwing for fun and a chance to be crowned a champion. Prizes for the best scores and best Viking costumes on the day. NB! Adults over 18 yrs only, supervision required for individuals 16+ yrs.

CULTURE DAY CONCERT: nublu & Gameboy Tetris

CULTURE DAY CONCERT: Jex Saarelaht Trio & Tritona

Jex Saarelaht is a Melbourne based Estonian world level jazz musician, pianist and composer. Accompanied by Philip Rex (double bass) and Niko Schäuble (drums) he will be playing some wonderful jazz compositions. Tritona is a group of three professional musicians in Sydney: Anežka Beščecová, Van Leucia and Estonian Karin Kapsi. They offer a variety of beloved Estonian classics, all arranged for flute, piano and cello. Covid Requirements: All participants must be double vaccinated

FOREST DAY: Külasimman at Kilmore

The forest day will be the first day of the XXVIII Eesti Päevad festival and we'll be heading to Kilmore to celebrate a real Külasimman in the nature. The grounds open at 11:30 AM and there will be activities for children and adults all day: singing and games for children and adults, open marketplace for everyone, bonfire, live and dance music by Rolling Stonian, Estonian food & beverages and meet & greet with nublu! Dresscode: Warm & Estonian All participants must be double vaccinated.

FOREST DAY: Bus to Kilmore

Friday 15 April 2022
Bus transport to and from the "Tervete" Latvian camp site in Kilmore on the Festival opening day. Bus fare does not include entry to the event. Ticket sale for bus transport ends on 7 April! Bus leaves from Estonian House (43 Melville Road) at 11:00 AM, arrives at Kilmore at 12:00 PM. Return bus leaves Kilmore at 8:00 PM. Covid Requirements: All participants must be double vaccinated
