Love mushrooms but nervous about picking the wrong one? Come join me — Natasha from Tash Can Cook — for a beginner-friendly Mushroom Identification & Foraging Workshop in Gippsland! We’ll kick off with an educational 1.5-hour indoor presentation covering mushroom biology, how to confidently ID edible (and inedible!) local species, and what to watch for when foraging safely. Expect slides, stories, and fun facts that’ll stick like spores! During the presentation, participants can enjoy a light charcuterie board featuring my special mushroom pâté recipe—so come hungry for both food and knowledge! Then we’ll head out for a relaxed bushwalk to see what wild fungi we can find. This isn’t just a class — it’s an adventure, grounded in mycological science and respect for nature. Italian Pasta & Sauce Making Cooking Class

Join Natasha for an immersive journey in Italian cuisine with her Pasta and Sauce Making Cooking Class. Whether you're a novice in the kitchen or a seasoned home cook, this class is designed to teach you the art of creating fresh pasta from scratch and crafting delicious Italian sauces to complement them. Learn the secrets to making the perfect pasta dough and master the techniques of kneading, rolling, and shaping different types of pasta such as fettuccine and ravioli while pairing them with the perfect traditional sauces to understand the key ingredients, cooking methods, and flavor combinations that make each pasta dish unique. You will also learn how to make your own homemade ricotta to fill in the ravioli and a delicious Italian antipasto salad and dressing. Each participant will have the opportunity to make their own batch of pasta dough and enjoy a tasting session where you'll sample the dishes prepared during the class. Learn the art of making authentic Chinese homemade Dumplings and Wontons from scratch such as Jaozi, Pot Stickers, Sui Mai, Sheng Jian Bao (beef buns) and Wonton Soup. During the class, you will discover the secret to the perfect balance of flavors, with a variety of fillings, pastries and sauces, while having the opportunity to learn different folding techniques and cooking methods too. Best part of the class is that you will be able to enjoy tasting all your creations in a social environment.
