Join fungi enthusiasts artist Tracie MacVean and arborist Tristan Black on a walk to learn about the diversity and curiosities of trees and the fungi kingdom.
Learn about the anatomy of mushrooms and their relationships with plants and walk away with the basics of how to identify mushrooms in the field. Discover how to contribute to our understanding of native fungi by becoming a citizen scientist and sharing your observations on platforms such as iNaturalist.
This walk will take place in the native eucalyptus forest, within 20 minutes from Beechworth.
This is a new location for us so please, let us know at least a day in advance if you need help finding the area.
We will meet at the intersection of Mount Stanley Road and Circular Creek Road.

The map directions may send you through Yackandandah Forest. If you don’t have a 4WD, we don’t recommend this route. Instead, head to Beechworth and then through Stanley. There’s limited reception in this area so please make sure you have the coordinates in before you head past Stanley.
