This walk will take place in Woomargama National Park, which is the largest protected area of forest west of the Great Dividing Range.
Roughly 2 and a half hours each walk.
This event is not suitable for young children.
We will meet at Tunnel Road Picnic Area, which is at the intersection of Tunnel Road and Tin Mines Trail.
Please note there is not much reception for this area.

Discover colourful mushrooms, learn how fungi help forests grow, and uncover some of the amazing secrets of the natural world. We’ll take a closer look at mushroom anatomy, learn about the special relationships between fungi and plants, and share some simple tips for spotting and identifying fungi in the wild.
Young explorers can learn how to become citizen scientists using phone apps, and how to document and photograph fungi for research if they are interested.
The walk will take place at Mayday Hill near the Indigo Shire Council Office. We will meet at the parking area on Gilchrist Avenue before entering Mayday Hill.
Duration: Approximately 2 hours
Suitable for adults and children aged 7+, with plenty to keep children curious, engaged, and exploring.

This walk will take place at Clover Arboretum, which offers a collection of exotic trees and is surrounded by wet native forest. There are also plenty of fungi to be discovered.

Accompanying this seminar is an array of fresh fungi collected from the region (depending on availability) and photographs by Tracie.
