The Geelong Museum Aossociation was formed to advocate for a Geelong Museum to tell the story of Geelong.

La Trobe, the Forgotten Governor, and his connections with Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula Charles Joseph La Trobe was Superintendent of the Port Phillip District of New South Wales from 1839, and Lieutenant Governor of Victoria from 1851 until his departure from Australia in 1854.     Dr. Dianne Reilly AM FRHSV   will speak about La Trobe’s role in the formative years of Victoria, and his enduring legacy.
