As a part of our new exciting program, 'Community, Take Care : Excursions' (thanks to North East funding), we will be getting together with Sarah and Paul at Macleod Community Garden's for our next upcoming urban excursion.
What:
Take a tour of Macleod Community Garden's space with permaculture guru, Paul, who will show you around the organic gardens, discuss winter crop planting and sustainability. After the tour, enjoy a light afternoon tea (cake, dips and biscuits) with Sarah from Greenhills. You will take home a winter crop seedling and get a sit-down Q&A with the two as you enjoy nibble and cuppas.

Swap your pre-loved, used or unused art supplies, materials, equipment and find something new for yourself or a loved one to take home and experiment with.
If you can contribute, we are accepting donated art supplies fr this swap in the weeks leading up to the event - they can be dropped off at our office, 2 Community Dr, Greensborough 3088 from 9am - 3pm weekdays.

This event will see our Greenroom community pantry activated in a new way. Using surplus food diverted from landfill, we will enjoy new recipes by Chika.

In a casual group, we will head outside to do guided observational drawing activities with the artist.
Walk around the local reserve and community drive area as a group, stopping at 4-6 spots along the way to pause and draw (the final stop is a longer drawing break.) To wrap up, we will share what we created with the group while enjoying tea and nibbles.

There will be four crochet pro's who will guide you through the techniques. These evenings are casual, friendly nights where you can explore your creativity in a warm, welcoming space.

- There is general and accessible car parking on site out the front of the building.

Free pop-up food relief market for anyone who could do with support or a groceries box.
No registration in person needed. There will be tables with free pantry and fresh items that you can self-pack and take home.
The children's playground will also be holding a Family Fun Day at the same time. This very popular event will include cold treats and activities including water and messy play. Bring your friends and family for a fun morning. Plenty of shade is available. Suitable for preschool and early primary children. Adults will need to attend with their children.
All are welcome. This event is located outdoors in Greenhills Neighbourhood Houses community garden.

Join our local handy-person Nikki and learn some basic construction techniques, how to use a drill and make a Bee hotel that you can take home!
All materials provided - this will take place on our outdoor undercover deck. This location is accessed by a wheelchair accessible ramp - there are gender-neutral and wheelchair accessible toilet onsite and there is a kitchenette where you can find drinks and nibbles.
This is a social-purpose workshop - funds support Greenhills Neighbourhood House to put on low-cost and free services for the community by helping us to pay facilitators, provide materials and relief aid at the centre.

Sister Session Figure Drawing Session

The class will involve:
A brief introduction to a wide range of different figure drawing styles
A guided drawing session (to give you the basic idea)
Followed by a mix of 30 second, 1 minute, 2 minute & 5 minute sessions, building up to a 20 minute session
We might even throw in a few sessions drawing with your left hand or your eyes closed!
The class will be drawing from pictures (shown on the projector) so we can giggle about their bodies all we like, without offending anyone!
