Gunnedah Conservatorium
Gunnedah Conservatorium (formerly Gunnedah Music Centre) aims to provide affordable, quality music education to Gunnedah residents since 1987. For much of this time it has also inspired locals with an interesting live performance program. Our 2020 Concert series will run from February through till November.

Between Monday 7 December 2020 and Thursday 17 December 2020As the year draws to a close, studio concerts are a great opportunity for invited students to perform in relaxed recital setting. This years studio concert will be held Upstairs at the Conservatorium, Town Hall, The Civic and the Creative Arts Centre Gallery. Between Friday 27 November 2020 and Saturday 28 November 2020A supermum, flatmates, a country singer, a family cruise .... nothing out of the ordinary until you throw in a world-wide pandemic. This local production has no answers but has been created in Gunnedah 2020 and puts the spotlight and some of what this year has brought with it from the relative safety of the Gunnedah Town Hall. Between Saturday 29 August 2020 and Saturday 12 September 2020Workshop: 29 August 9am to 12noon Trial Exam: 12 September 9am to 12noon These activities are designed to assist students preparing for an AMEB exam, and cover the areas of General Knowledge, Sight Reading and Aural Tests. The trial exam is to give students an experience similar to the exams and will be especially valuable for students preparing for their first exam. Thursday 12 March 2020These lessons are a perfect introduction to music for children 5 to 10 years. In small group learning situations children will be introduced to their chosen instrument. Groups MUST HAVE a minimum of 3 students to start, and will be capped at 8. Hire instruments are available for STRINGS and DJEMBE while members of the UKUELE group will be required to purchase their own ukulele and book. This workshop will suit a variety of learning styles and appropriate for all ages and skill levels however it would be beneficial to the student if they are able to read music.
