C the Market have run Mushroom Foraging events in the Macedon region during the past 7 years, (small ones through 2020/2021). Our workshops in 2022 & 2023 were extremely successful, so we have again teamed up with professional foragers, Richard Ford and his team at Australian Wild Herbs & Mushrooms to share with you an educational Mushroom Foraging experience in the forests of Macedon. Richard forages professionally and with more than 30 years experience, he will again share hints, information on where and how to forage and most importantly, what we need to know to be able to do so safely. We start with an educational workshop/talk in an easily accessible style, all participants then head into the forest to forage & collect and then all fungi found is checked and discussed with Richard as we conclude our 2 hour event. Suitable for anyone interested to further their fungi knowledge & learn how to recognise and safely collect Slippery Jacks & Pine edible mushrooms
