PINK FLOYD’S THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON Performed live by The Flaming Doghouse Showband Following the incredible response to the band’s recent performances of The Wall & Wish You Were Here, The Flaming Doghouse return with the album audiences overwhelmingly wanted to hear next: The Dark Side of the Moon. The Flaming Doghouse will perform Pink Floyd’s landmark album live and complete, from beginning to end, from heartbeat to heartbeat. The rest of the evening will be a deep dive into the band’s Pink Floyd favourites, spanning the psychedelic beginnings, the classic albums and the later years. Built around the scale and atmosphere of Pink Floyd’s celebrated live performances, the show brings together eight musicians, detailed arrangements and the visual dimension that has become an integral part of The Flaming Doghouse Showband’s Pink Floyd performances. NIGHTMARE ON JUBILEE Halloween Eve – Adults Only On Friday 30 October, the freaks come out at Surfboat Brewery for a full-scale adults-only Halloween rock party. Two bands. Costumes, tricks, treats, cash prizes and a night of gloriously wicked fun. WILD GINGER All Female Rock SLUSH BUCKET Pop Punk Tribute Wild Ginger's women of rock bring the fire with a hard-hitting set of rock favourites, while Slush Bucket tear into the pop-punk anthems of Green Day, Blink-182, The Offspring, Avril Lavigne, The Living End and more. The night will take over Surfboat’s upstairs spaces, with live music in the main showroom and a chill-zone to escape the zombie apocalypse, catch your breath, have a chat or adjust something alarming in the mirror. BEST OUTFITS – CASH PRIZES $200 – Best Dressed Individual or Couple $150 – Best Group Costume (3 or more dressed in a common theme) $150 – Sultriest Creature of the Night (male or female) Costumes are encouraged. Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon was released in 1973 and became one of the greatest albums of all time, spending more than 18 YEARS on the charts. The Pittwater offshore community's legendary Flaming Doghouse Showband will perform the full album from heartbeat to heartbeat plus plenty of Floyd favourites - over two hours of mind-blowing live music. Under the musical direction of David Richards, The Flaming Doghouse have performed tribute shows including The Beatles, Pink Floyd, The Commitments, The Rocky Horror Show, The Blues Brothers & Lady Sings the Blues to huge acclaim. This show reprises and adapts their classic Pink Floyd show to coincide with the 50 year anniversary of the release of The Dark Side of the Moon.
