NBCA Gala Concert Grand Finale

An invitation to women of the association to join the boys and men on stage for the concert finale. We will be singing the Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves from Verdi's Opera Nabucco. If you feel you have the voice and can attend the two mandatory rehearsals please fill in the details below and pay the registration fee. Registration will include learning materials and a souvenir copy of the music.

The National Boys Choir of Australia is proud to present its annual Christmas concert “Sing Christmas” in the magnificent Melbourne Town Hall.
Featuring the combined voices of the Performing Choir, Young Men’s Choir and Old Boys’ Choir, together with the NBCA Training Choirs, accompanied by piano and the Town Hall Grand Organ.
The combined choirs will perform John Rutter’s “Brother Heinrich’s Christmas: A Fable with music” presented semi-staged and costumed.
Favourite carols include O come all ye faithful, The First Nowell, God rest ye merry, gentlemen, Away in a manger, Sleigh Ride and many others, finishing with the beloved ‘Hallelujah’ Chorus from Handel’s Messiah

Directed by Andrew Bainbridge, the National Boys Choir of Australia will perform a program which includes Australian songs, folk and classical. The concert will include Australian composers Stephen Leek, Colin Brumby, Todd McNeal and the Choir's Patron, John Rutter.

NBCA Pre Tour Concert - Regent Theatre, Yarram

Directed by Andrew Bainbridge, the National Boys Choir of Australia will debut their North Queensland Tour in Yarram, on the stage of the beautiful Regent Theatre. Performing a selection of traditional, classical and folk songs the boys will share the stage with the NBCA Young Men's Choir, a group of recently changed voices, singing an eclectic program of that crosses many genres.

Directed by Andrew Bainbridge, the National Boys Choir of Australia will perform a program which includes Australian songs, folk and classical songs, a short medley from ‘Les Misérables'. The concert will also feature Australian composer Stephen Leek’s music-theatre piece Batavia. Originally conceived as a song cycle with narration, the libretto was written and modified by Anne Williams. The work will be presented fully costumed and adapted for stage by Melbourne theatre legend Will Conyers.

The boys are excited to be heading back on stage to perform their Christmas program. There will be three concerts featuring the Training Choirs, Young Men's Choir and the wonderful voices of the Performing Choir.
All guests 12 years and over will need to show a valid Covid-19 vaccination certificate with their entry ticket at the time of admission.

Bring your picnic, share a zoom story, laugh with a friend, and be entertained by caroling choristers. There will be a giant slide and a bouncing castle to amuse the younger members and siblings (may even be a visit from a very Jolly Fellow often dressed in red!

The National Boys Choir of Australia will perform works by Lorenzo Perosi, Cesar Franck and C.V.Stanford, Old American Songs - two suites by Aaron Copland and Choral Selections from 'Oliver'. The Choir, perhaps recognized from the iconic Qantas 'I Still Call Australia Home' commercials, will also sing 'that' song and a selection of Australian folk songs. Students from St Virgil's College will perform as guests of NBCA.
