Outdoor Connections Australia provides immersive experiences in natural spaces. The core aim of Outdoor Connections is to provide nature-based experiences for children, practical workshops for parents and outdoor training for educators. At Outdoor Connections we believe that being outdoors is a vital part of the childhood experience. Spending time in nature develops children’s wellbeing, social and physical skills, resilience, cognitive learning and connection to nature.

Girls aged 10 - 13 years participate in a day of outdoor adventure from 10am - 3pm.
Learn some good stretches to prepare our muscles for walking and some mindfulness for unwinding.
Make a Nature journal, do some sketching and explore other ways to make nature art, which is a lovely way to record future outdoor adventures.
Go for approx. 10km walk.
Swim in a secret rockpool (if the conditions are right).
Make new friends.

Children aged 5 - 12 years participate in an outdoor bush adventure from 9am - 3pm. They will make a home base, explore the park, go dip netting in the creek, design nature crafts and play teamwork games. This is a full day adventure exploring a great patch of bush reserve right on the doorstep of Kiama. *note although the reserve is named for the Dam - we can't go anywhere near the Dam itself.

Children aged 5 - 12 will explore the South Werri headland, rockplatform and beach as we walk from the Surf Club around the rockplatform and back over the headland. The children will engage in nature play games, shelter building and exploring along the way. Please pack belongings in a back pack as we take them with us on our walk.
Note the meeting point is in front of Gerringong Surf Club and we head to the rock platform, headland and beach from there.

Bush Kinder has a theme each week, and includes story time, craft, building and learning about our natural environment. Some of the activities include sand play, nature art and crafts, creating with clay, water and ice play, learning to use tools and building cubbies in the bush. Children 2 - 5 year olds attend with their parent/ guardian. Babies in arms are free.
NOTE: There are 5 casual visits per session, program bookings are encouraged with 15% discount.

The Bush Play program has been developed to give your child optimum opportunity to build their gross motor and physical skills through balancing, walking and fine motor skills during crafts. We explore sections of the Seven Mile Beach National Park each week, the bush, park and go to the beach for sand play.
NOTE: Enrolling for the 5 week program offers a discount of 15% as we encourage completing the whole program for maximum growth and enjoyment.

Children aged 7 - 14 will construct rafts to float in the shallows of the water and explore the edges of the mouth of the lagoon. The children will also engage in nature play games, shelter building and exploring the area. Note the meeting point is Bungulla Reserve (the closest small reserve to North Werri on Werri St) and we head to the beach from there.
