Come one, come all! NQWC would like to invite you to attend our Trivia Night which endeavours to raise funds to support us to continue to rescue, rehabilitate and release native Australian animals. The trivia night will be held in the back garden area of Grill'd 3 Palmer St and will start at 6pm on Friday the 22nd August, 2025. We would love for you all to join us in what is set to be a fun, entertaining and educational night!! Each ticket holder will receive a burger and snack sized fries of their choice at Grill'd. Attendees will be seated in tables of 6. Did you know that NQ Wildlife Care receives dozens of rescue calls every single day? This training covers how to answer our 24-hour rescue phone, including giving members of the public advice on the animals they call in, taking informative details from these calls, and relaying that on to rescuers and carers. Assisting us with phone calls may be an option if you are unable to do rescues or care. If this sounds like your forte, come attend our session! Anyone under the age of 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult. This training is not suitable for children under the age of 12, as some graphic imagery related to injured wildlife may be shown.

Flying Fox Rescue and First Aid Training Flying foxes can get themselves in a lot of trouble: entanglement in barbed wire, fishing hooks and fruit netting, electrocution on power lines, dog attacks, collisions with cars, not to mention babies that fall off their mums. To anyone wishing to be a carer of Macropods or learn more about caring for Macropods, this is the course for you, and a great refresher for members who are already on their way to being the best carer they can be.To attend this course you must be an NQ Wildlife member (you can purchase your membership on the day.) This is the first course all carers of macropods need to complete if you wish to look after joeys, wallabies, and Kangaroos in your home. In this course, you will gain the essential knowledge on handling, feeding, and general care of macropods/ The course is presented by NQ Wildlife's macropod coordinators who have a wealth of experience and knowledge to guide you in your carer's journey.
