Sensory Accommodations and Regulation Strategies for School

This is the first session of 4 sessions with our amazing therapists at PEKE Centre. Join our Senior Occupational Therapist and Regional Lead Izabel on the topic of Sensory Accommodations and Regulation Strategies for School and Home. Izabel will walk you through the different types of sensory needs and how sensory activities can be implemented as accommodation strategies at school and to support with emotional regulation, sleep and routines at home. This session is relevant to parents and caregivers of children and teenagers who have diagnoses of Autism, ADHD, Intellectual Disability, Sensory Processing Disorder, Global Developmental Delay and more. This 1-hour session includes: • 45 minutes of information • 15mins of Q&A time • A digital copy of the slides in PDF format will be provided • Tea, coffee and snacks will be provided This event is for parents and caregivers only and is not suitable for kids.
