Between Saturday 19 September 2020 and Sunday 27 September 2020A humorous and nostalgic trip back in time to the Golden Age of Radio. They play actors broadcasting from a Brisbane radio station in 1954. They first present ‘The Maroochy Flyer’ by Errol Morrison, which provides a fanciful retelling of a true event in which a plane landed on a beach, and ‘Quiet Flows the Obi Obi’, a satirical take on Maleny’s past, present and future. A tale of Vileun the Vile's quest to become supreme ruler of the universe. In order to do this he must get the rulers of Earth to submit to him. Between Thursday 13 December 2018 and Sunday 16 December 2018A Giant, a Troll, a scarecrow, giant chicken and a cow are all a part of the Maleny Players’ Christmas Production ‘Jack and the Magic Beans’ by Vera Morris. This well-known English Folktale, Directed by Barry Harber, has been adapted and dramatized from the Benjamin Tabart version ‘The History of Jack Spriggins and the Magic Bean’.
