Rocks from Space with Professor Jonti Horner

Saturday 23 August 2025
Rocks and minerals hold the secrets to the origins and composition of our solar system. Professor Horner is an astrophysicist and astrobiologist from the University of Southern Queensland. Jonti is a passionate science communicator and teacher. This talk is about the Solar system's small bodies - comets and asteroids. Where do they come from? Where will they go in the future? What clues do the hold to our own distant past? Doors open from 6.30 pm giving members and patrons an opportunity to socialize before the event and, if the skies are clear, there may be an opportunity to view the universe through our telescopes.
